A while ago I applied to use Woopra on this site and this morning received confirmation that my site had been added. For those who haven’t seen it, Woopra provides real time stats on your visitors. The service is still in Beta, so you need to sign up and then wait until your registration is approved. You also need to wait for approval on your site when you add it, so getting going in the Beta phase does take a bit of time.
Once you’re all approved though, getting it up and running is painless. I grabbed the WordPress plugin and that was it – data immediately started appearing in my Woopra dashboard. While there is a web interface, the more impressive option is to get the desktop client and watch your visitors activity in realtime.

The client also has the option to “chat” to the visitors on the site. I haven’t managed to get it working yet, but it does seem a little bit big brother. Will see how that one works out.
As the site generates some more traffic I’ll post some updated impressions.

Glad you are enjoying Woopra. We’re working on totally redoing the live chat and it will be in the next release of Woopra. We’ve put in a ton of the features people have been requesting, making it easier to use and more valuable.
Be aware that during this phase of testing, do not use the Woopra WordPress Plugin with any of the release candidates. We’ve totally rewritten the underlying code of Woopra and the server, making it faster and more powerful than ever, but the two versions don’t play well together yet.
When we release the next version, you will automatically be upgraded, bringing all the fun new features to your Woopra experience.
Thanks again and your feedback helps us make Woopra better.
