This was the title of a talk that Max Kaizen gave to Saatchi staff over lunch today. I guess it makes more sense with its subtitle: future skills for turbulent times.
Every so often we invite in a speaker to provide some inspiration outside of what we are normally exposed to, and Max certainly delivered! The rather cryptic title covered topics from big wave riding to globalization to the second law of thermodynamics, amazingly all of it relevant. It’s not often that you can keep a group of creative people captivated, but she managed. I guess it’s all that experience lecturing to a hall of 300 first years.
The feedback so far has been awesome – people are still emailing and coming up to thank me for bringing her in. I guess it is true: it’s not what you know, it’s who you know
So Max, a great big public thank you from everyone at Saatchi!

AWESOMENESS! thank you so much for the invitation to unleash some of the slightly wilder thought.springs at Saatchi Mr Kent >>
We’re going to be heading into some big weather soon and it’s brilliant that you guys are flexing for it in ways that few global companies would risk doing. It may paradoxically be the only way to ride it out safely though.
